Chad Denny

Chad Denny of Eskasoni First Nation excelled in the sport of Hockey in his youth and left his community at the age of 16 to play for the Lewiston Maineiacs of the QMJHL where he went on to win the President’s Cup (QMJHL Championship).

He was drafted to the NHL by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2nd Round 49th overall. He went on to win a Calder Cup with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. After his Professional Hockey Career he went to UNB to pursue his Education Degree and subsequently won a CIS National Hockey Championship.

Chad set a record for his slapshot at the CHL top prospect game at 103 mph, and later on his top slap shot was clocked in at 106 MPH.
