Arnold Sylliboy

Arnold ‘Big Chief’ Sylliboy, a member of Eskasoni First Nation, spent a lifetime contributing, building, and coaching Mikmaw youth in various sports. He is quite well known for Leading Team Mi’kmaw Nova Scotia into battle at NAIG 2014, 2017, and 2023. He was our shining example of what a Team Member can be. He was part of Coaching and Team staff for three NAIG Games, and built excitement among our youth to get involved with the sport. His greatest legacy is recognizing the importance of mental health and wellness among our youth, and saw sport as a tool to better the lives of all those involved.

The Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Sport Hall of Fame is Honored to Induct Arnold ‘Big Chief’ Sylliboy as Coach and Builder.
